This summer, the whole family can take part in SNAP (Sports, Nutrition, Active Play) free family activities across Knowsley.
Taking place in community centres, church halls, youth centres and even online, organisations across the borough have come together to make sure that whether you live in Cronton or Kirkby, Prescot or Whiston, Halewood or Huyton, no matter where you live in Knowsley, there will be something you can get involved with. Some of the holiday clubs will also be providing free nutritious snacks and lunches and ALL will be following Government guidance on the preventing the spread of Covid19.
Some of the fantastic organisations taking part in SNAP (both online and face to face) are:
Faiths 4 Change
Friends Of Eaton Street Park
Halewood Town Council
Home Start Knowsley
Lee Cooper Foundation
Northwood Community Centre Association
The Boyzee Halewood
Torrington Drive Community Association
Uni-Wise (Halewood area)
The aim of SNAP is to support children, families and residents across Knowsley during the school holiday period by providing a range of free engaging and fun activities which promotes health and wellbeing, encouraging our children and young people to get active or develop new skills and interests.
We want to recognise, celebrate and thank the VCFSE (Voluntary, Community, Faith & Social Enterprise) sector in Knowsley for collaborating with us and making SNAP happen.
Please check with individual organisations that face to face activities are going ahead as planned.
There are also a range of online sessions available for residents of Knowsley to access. The online sessions will include cooking, sports, science and activities designed to support good mental health,
The sessions are free, suitable for a range of ages (or the whole family!) and are available at a time to suit you.
