Knowsley HAF and SNAP Activities and Food for Children, Young People and Families across Knowsley

Knowsley SNAP (Sports, Nutrition and Active Play) is also our local name for the Holidays Activities and Food programme (HAF).

Knowsley’s HAF programme (Easter, Summer & Christmas School Holidays) is coordinated by One Knowsley in collaboration with Knowsley Council, thanks to funding from the Department for Education.

HAF is designed to give children and young people, who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals (FSM), the opportunity to: eat, move, learn, create, and connect.

Our Knowsley HAF programme involves many of our fantastic community organisations who provide diverse and exciting activities, food and fun for children, young people and families across Knowsley during the school holidays.

All eligible children will be issued with vouchers directly from Holiday Activities and parents / carers will be sent an email with a link to click to claim the voucher’ with directions on how to book places via the booking system.  

Every child/young person needs to be pre-registered via the booking system and disclose any medical conditions, additional needs, SEND, dietary, medical, allergy, religious requirements, or any security issues.

The holiday activities and food programme (HAF) is being funded by the Department for Education. The aim of the programme is to offer free holiday provision including healthy food and enriching activities to children receiving benefits-related free school meals for the equivalent of at least four hours a day, four days a week during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.

All Knowsley SNAP funded activities will take place during the Easter holidays from Tuesday 2nd April – Friday 5th April.
