One Knowsley Mental Health Resilience Forum Celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week – On Bikes

Thursday 13th May 10am-12pm, Halewood Park
To celebrate Mental Health Awareness week and this year’s theme of ‘Nature’, members of the One Knowsley Mental Health Resilience Forum have been invited to swap their regular monthly meet up via computer screen and head outside instead to take advantage of the wonderful green space that is Halewood Park.

On the morning of Thursday 13th May, members will be able to get on bikes to explore the park and to #ConnectWithNature courtesy of Pedal Away, and to try out a range of gentle exercises, relaxation activities, as well as a ‘Heritage in Nature’ Scavenger Hunt coordinated by members of the One Knowsley team. Building on the theme of nature and wellbeing, all members of the forum taking part will be invited to take part in the Sunflower Challenge, organised by Knowsley Council’s Culture Development and Events Service. This year, with the Knowsley Flower Show unable to go ahead for a second time, organisers are hoping that people across the borough will take the sunflower into their hearts and join a mass growing challenge instead. Each forum member attending the meet up will receive sunflowers seeds kindly donated to Knowsley Council by Olly Harrison, a local farmer, who grew the fabulous Sunflower Maze in Tarbock, Knowsley last summer!
