This summer, the whole family can take part in SNAP (Sports, Nutrition, Active Play) free family activities across Knowsley.
From arts & crafts to cookery and sport there will be something for the whole family to enjoy throughout the summer holidays. The activities led by One Knowsley in partnership with, LIVV Housing Group, the council and a range of community and voluntary organisations putting their efforts into creating a summer of fun in Knowsley.
Taking place in community centres, church halls, youth centres and even online, organisations across the borough have come together to make sure that whether you live in Cronton or Kirkby, Halewood or Huyton or in fact anywhere in Knowsley there will be something you can get involved with. Some of the holiday clubs will also be providing free nutritious snacks and lunches and ALL will be following Government guidance on the preventing the spread of Covid19.
Racheal Jones, Chief Executive Officer, One Knowsley said: “It’s fantastic to see how Knowsley’s voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector have come together to create this summer holiday programme of activities. Throughout the pandemic these organisations have worked hard to support the borough’s most vulnerable residents and their continued support is inspirational.”

Cllr Margaret Harvey, Knowsley Council’s Children’s Services Cabinet Member, said: “The coronavirus pandemic has been a huge challenge for all of us, not least on families. While we continue to urge Knowsley to remain cautious and safe, I’m delighted that organisations across Knowsley have come together to help lift the spirits and create a fun filled summer.
“The summer holidays always present a challenge for families so it is great that these activities are free of charge and significantly a number also offer nutritious meals – easing the pressure on families even more.”
